Objectives of Haryana Pollution Control Committee

The Haryana State Pollution Control Board has the following objectives: 

  • The Haryana State Pollution Control Board aims to avoid and regulate pollution at its source. 
  •  The board is responsible for guaranteeing that whole residential sewage does not pollute natural water bodies or groundwater. 
  • The board aims to increase reusing and recycling of sewage and trade effluents and use treated water for irrigation and industrial purposes. 
  •  The board is also responsible for minimizing pollution control requirements by allotting space for new industries. 
  •  Controls pollutants at the source, ensuring techno-economic feasibility for liquid and gaseous emissions. 
  • Protects natural water and resources from pollution caused by untreated sewage discharge. 
  •  Maximises recycling and reuse of sewage and trade effluents on land for irrigation and industrial applications following proper treatment. 
  • Relocating industries minimizes pollution control requirements. 
  • The program aims to effectively control water and air pollution while also maintaining and restoring quality. 
  •  Prioritise efforts to address polluted industries, areas, and rivers. 
  •  Identify pollution sources and take steps to reduce, prevent, and regulate pollution. 
  • Educate and raise awareness about environmental pollution among local authorities. 
  •  Promote measures and assistance through incentives, recommendations, demonstration plants, and cost-effective technology. 
  • Encourage industries and municipal authorities to implement pollution prevention measures. 
  • Improve pollution control capacity by training, developing laboratories, and strengthening staff and infrastructur

Procedure for getting Consent Certificates from Haryana Pollution Control Committee

BIS (CRS) registration for electronic product is a thorough process that includes:

step 1: First, manufacturers must fill out the prescribed form and submit it through the Haryana Enterprise Promotion Centre's online portal, along with fees and relevant documents. Along with applying for CTE, one must also submit performance security.

Step 2: Once submitted through the online portal, the application and related documentation are reviewed as per the Haryana Pollution Control Board's requirements.

Step 3: After the authorities have reviewed the application, an official will visit the site for a field inspection. Based on this, the inspection report is created. Field inspection is only required when the manufacturer applies for Consent to Operate.

Step 5: Furthermore, the report is inspected. If the inspection report for the operation of the industry meets the standards established, the applicant is issued a consent certificate.
