Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) is a government policy that makes manufacturers, importers, and brand owners collect and recycle all kinds of waste created by their products. It approves sustainable production processes and reduce environmental damage caused by end-of-life items. The registration process includes applying the specified regulatory authority, together with the required documentation and fee. Manufacturers and importers must obtain an EPR certificate to manage waste. However, if manufacturers or importers fail to get the necessary licenses, they cannot run their business in India.
